Getting to Know You Responses

1. If you play a sport, what type of sport do you play? How long have you been playing this sport?
I have not played a sport since 8th grade. When I did play a sport; I played Track and Field. I played for 3 years.

2. What are you passionate about? For example, in your free time, what do you enjoy doing most?
I enjoy helping people the most, I am very passionate about that. In my free time you can find me baking, eating, hiking, and spending time with my good friends.

3. What is your nickname and how did you get this name?
My nickname to most is Steph. But my family calls me Jeff because they get my name confused with my cousin Jeff.

4. When you write do you just sit at the computer and allow the words to flow or do you have an outline?
I usually allow words to just flow but it doesn't really turn out well unless I have a outline to base it off of.

5. How would you describe your writing experience in high school? For example your teachers allow you multiple times for you to revise your essays to earn a higher grade? Did you learn about the 5 paragraph structure?
I would describe it as limited. I wasn't given a chance to really focus on writing in high school. we mainly read books in class. When we did write we were given a chance to revise what we wrote. The only essay I was really taught was the 5 paragraph structure. Including the into, 3 body paragraphs, and the conclusion. We went over how to write a research paper briefly as well.

6. What type of music do you listen to and who is your favorite artist?
I listen to all music from medal to rap to reggae to country. I listen to every time of music.

7. Do you use social media and if so how often do you use social media, Facebook, Twitter, Snap Chat, Instagram?
I use it each day but I only created it about a month ago and I truly don't check it very often. Social media is unimportant to me. I only use it to keep updated with the current topics in the world.

8. What is most important for you to learn this semester?
How to write over a 5 paragraph essay and become better at making my essays flow.

9. Rate yourself as a writer A, B, C, D?
C; I think I have a lot of improvements to make.
